Primary Prevention- Self examination

Several PSD Teachers have recently shared with the Malta PSD Association certain concerns and issues met in class. Many suggested that MPSDA should organise informative sessions where PSD teachers and other educators can enhance their professional development as well as ask questions to the right professionals. MPSDA has listened to these concerns and accepted the challenge. In fact, we are sending this email to invite you for this 1st training session.
One of the units in the Form 3 syllabus, more specifically, ‘PSCD 9.5 Understanding growing up changes and making responsible choices’, requires the teacher to provide “information regarding health care issues related to hygiene, breast screening, pap tests (against cervical cancer) and testicular examination (against testicular cancer).” MPSDA understands that this could be quite a challenge in class and know that some of you would like additional information from the right professionals.
Hence, if you are a Primary or a Secondary PSCD teacher, this session will help you to answer any queries you have regarding teaching sexuality topics. If so we encourage you to attend the first short training session by MPSDA by following the details below.
Subject: Primary Prevention- Self examination
